When asked to choose a profession, I said "a singer" instead of singing it, so my parents told me it was impossible.

Tomorrow is the closing reception for "Abracadabra: A Celebration of Octavia Reese's Life, Love & Magic" at Space.01 I am going to the Fine Arts Building to experience "a spatial audio collaboration" or "sonic architects live."

There's another prom tomorrow and again I'm stag! But I'll be wearing "Dressing Up The Cut."

5 June 2025

Needed a lightweight tote and there were two in my mama's studio office closet: a New Yorker in black and Acura Advance, with shimmery material but straps in the wrong direction(s). Wanting to keep sprucing up the chosen one after tailoring, I noticed the tencel by Eileen Fisher which I had in a duster would have been ideal to practice working from a garment. However somewhat like me at the fabric store, thinking she can get away with the half the yardage she actually needs despite not wanting seems, the popular feminist brand seams the back into panels (I lost the belt years ago anyway) making its repurposification impossible for me.

I left them on the patio this morning unknowing rain storm.

They were really happy in a patch of sun this morning; planted before eleven at night without anticipating more than whether the ground was soft enough to dig up.

'The Junior States[veeple] of America' [07/14/25] convened in Milwaukee the year of my matriculation to high school. "Don't date yourself." Well, 2010/2011 was later when a Highland Park Rothschild drove? over there after online chats with an officer from that city PD's Criminal Investigation Bureau High Technology Unit undercover as "Anna," a teenager. Actually, Milwaukee's Woodland Pattern is hosting a Poetry Coalition Fellowship and many interesting events besides which caused me to notice public transportation routes between Illinois and Whisk on, Sin! are squintingly New Englandish. I am a participant in Paul's business-oriented meditation class at Walls Turned Sideways, an art gallery specialized in abolition.

Saturday, the venue for avant-garde dance (Links Hall) is throwing a party for its closing. The dance party at 9 whill open with a baker's dozen of performances including mine, that is set to an 'audio cinema' noise track composed of spoken-word, singing bowl, electric guitar, and an Arturia MiniLab 3. Maybe en pointe for .wav to Women of Noice Against ICE; handmade glamoralls with or without The Color Purple by sewing machine.

Imagine peanut butter cookies with peanut milk.

27 June 2025

Textured-veg-protein (TVP) air-fried at 320f with some soy sauce and soy milk should perhaps be combined with post-al dente noodles on olive oil: combined over low-medium heat with lactofermentated 'acid' from the jar, one spoonful of cruncy peanut butter, unfortified nutritional and brewer's yeast, garlic scapes. My pickled carrots and you-know-what were garnishes.

"If there's no police report, why would anyone believe you?" She hadn't passed the bar exam, almost like a classmate whose MFA in arts education from the same school as her bachelors' — my father's U.S. alma mater — was abandoned.

Every batch of raspberry has been moldy, but Blueberry Joe assures me his stand doesn't have a "mold problem. I don't know why, maybe it's because we don't use pesticides." Recently tracking 'family resemblances' across plants (which enriches nutrition) there's a similarity between the kernels of raspberries and pomegranate seeds, okra and shishito peppers, aloe and avocado. Similarities are phenomenological: extrinsic taxonomies aren't comprehensive.

Greta and I went to a ranch with her mother, where there were horses, somewhere outside Chicago maybe in the direction of Harvard, Illinois; also there was a boy, introduced by way of 'intellectual disability,' who asked to kiss me. These events are contemporaneous with the fact that Jamie Son was labeled with a term from the "Diagnostic and Statistical Manual" after psychiatric testing failed to corroborate academic indicators. In Brooklyn he bought a drink after our eyes met at a Working Families Party happy hour before disclosing his surname, and then asked me to call him.

7 July 2025

Leaning on Tamika Price's crunchwrap supreme 'dupe' I combined TVP with black beans (Eden's Black Soy is my standard but be aware of issues with draining the can) with Bitchin' Spinach-Artichoke dip and whatever veg is on-hand on a stovepan over medium-low heat until warmed: mix-ins like nooch and brewer's yeast before plating and hemp seeds after plating pair obviously with fresh greens and pickles, though if you had a [ground cherry 7/8/25] salsa that would actually match wrapping the filling in corn or flour-cassava tortilla. For calcium supplementation of the vegan lifestyle, I'm finding:

Tuesday's market at the Museum of Contemporary Arts (MCA) seats Brian Hopkins as a weekly vendor; his office has not ensured the availability of produce to low-income individuals paying with food stamps. I noticed a dedicated fruit stand. Yet there is organic non-GMO kiwi from New Zealand on sale elsewhere.

My cleaning product is lost in the mail and a local post office telephone number is disconnected so I'm dropping everything to try Aztec Vegan Kitchen and Vaca's Vegan Creamery at the same time.

11 July 2025

My aunt's boyfriend opened my bag at her naturalization ceremony where it was on the seat between us to photograph her with the excuse that "I thought I [was or would be] helping you" and couldn't apologize until prompted. Esther Greif's paper about politeness "routines" is only about "Hi, thanks, and goodbye." USSR had censorship; here it feels like nothing has changed since the nineties. In USA, the two-party system censors in effect. Parties who refuse to apologize are complicit of carceral law. If the literary field were serious about peace I wouldn't be the only person talking about Random House before and after "Dreams from My Father."

Air quality in North America is poor; perhaps some compensate with airconditioning, which can filter. However running it nonstop makes worsens ecological crisis and gives no pleasure to the body, which adapts to seasons actually... Yes, I think "Harry Potter" is a pornographic title but the Dementor's kiss was relatable. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-021-03121-1

17 July 2025

At lunch on the Upper West Side with Jennifer Davidson, Julie Bensman complimented my writing voice; later at the n+1 office, Simone Landon used the term "voicey." The paper was Laura McGrath's idea; Sarah Wasserman had assisted Ulla Haselstein one day, but we crossed paths only then and I never mentioned it to anyone (at Stanford). The theory I composed wasn't included, which still bothers me as first-author.
